Class is over, and I hummed a tune as I walked home. As soon as I got out of the elevator, I heard a familiar voice. Upon closer inspection, I realized it was my parents arguing.

It turns out that both of them finished work early today, but they were rubbing against each other to avoid cooking. I saw them staring at each other, blushing and deadlocked for a long time. Dad couldn't hold his breath and spoke up first: 'You have to follow the rules, cook first and wash dishes later. I'm clearly half a foot behind you!' Upon hearing this, Mom couldn't help but say like setting off firecrackers: 'Are you still willing to say?'? When I got out of the elevator, you had already taken out the key, but when you saw that I had hidden it again, you insisted that you didn't have the key. Anyway, if you don't go in first, I won't open the door for you!

I saw them in such a tense state, you wouldn't let me, I wouldn't let you, not even paying attention to me as a living person standing in front of them. I dare not speak, thinking to myself: if I say the wrong thing, then their target will be me. So I had to hold my breath and quietly walked around from behind them to open the door, coaxing them into it. After entering the house, Mom slammed her bag on the ground and lay down on the sofa. She took out her phone, turned on the volume to the maximum, and then turned it off. Dad didn't go into the kitchen either, he pieced together the Lego that Mom bought for his younger brother. Both of us did our own things, while my younger brother and I could only stay in place at a loss. Our usually noisy home was unusually quiet today.

After a long time, I thought my parents had almost calmed down. As a result, Dad said in a sarcastic tone, "Why aren't you cooking yet?" Dad's words broke the original calm, and Mom's face showed a disdainful expression, gently throwing out a sentence: "It's not that I'm eating alone, why should I do it?" Dad was instantly angered, blushing like a ripe tomato. Just as he was about to sort out the details of the incident for Mom again, Mom went back to her room only to hear a loud bang from the door. Dad had to turn around and enter the kitchen, so he had to compromise. There was a long lost sound of cooking coming from the kitchen, mixed with dad's complaints and venting about the dishes.

What is the outcome of this debate? Mom was comforted by Dad, and she praised Dad's cooking skills. Our family ate happily as before, and my brother and I successfully escaped from the battlefield. The gunpowder dissipated, and the family's "argument" had the best satisfactory ending.
