这几天，妈妈回来得很晚，原来是她们单位最近一直在排练大合唱《我和我的祖国》，说是为了迎接祖国的生日。妈妈告诉我，今年是祖国的70岁生日。在我的眼里，祖国过生日是不是也吃蛋糕呢，到底是巧克力味的还是草莓味的呢？或者是我还没有吃过的其它味道呢？我想那蛋糕一定很大很大，吃的人也很多很多，想着想着，我的口水不由自主地流了下来，所以我很期待祖国的生日快点到来。

每周一早晨升国旗唱国歌，每当我们站在那徐徐升起的五星红旗下，就会怀念那些为祖国献出生命的前辈们，是他们用鲜血和宝贵的生命换来了我们今天的美好生活与和平，我们应该珍惜今天的一切。老师说，平时尊老爱幼、努力学习都是爱祖国的表现，同学之间互相帮助和关心也是爱国的表现。于是我就想，我要从遵守交通规则、爱护环境卫生、热心帮助同学等小小的事情做起，争做文明少年和优秀少先队员。作为新时代的少年，我们没有理由抱怨生活中遇到的小小困难，让我们拥有一颗感恩的心，从身边的每一件小事做起，给他人一个笑脸、一句亲切的问候，这样我也就会成为祖国的优秀一员了。
