The annual "June 1" Children's Day is coming again. The teacher told us a week in advance that there would be a fruit platter competition in the class.
On that day, I woke up in the morning, hurriedly finished breakfast, and started busy preparing my exclusive idea - a fruit platter. I took out the pre prepared guava and peach from the fridge, washed them, turned around and took out a small knife, cutting them into thin slices one by one. Later on, I thought it was a creative platter, so I washed some fruits again and carved them. I cut them into five pointed star shaped, circular shapes, and some dug them into a small round ball, round and rolling, making people want to swallow it in one bite.
After cutting the fruit, I began to arrange the plate carefully, wearing disposable gloves and creating the pattern I had in mind. After finishing, I picked up the whole plate and carefully examined it, feeling like something was missing. Suddenly, I saw the lychee lying beside me and had an idea. I had a plan and peeled off the shell of the lychee, placing the flesh in the middle. The crystal clear flesh successfully occupied the center of my fruit platter. I looked up at the time and felt that it was coming, so I wrapped the fruit platter in plastic wrap and took it to school.
At school, before entering the classroom, you can hear the voices of classmates discussing, and everyone is very excited today. Entering the classroom, I saw other classmates' works that looked better than mine, and I immediately felt a bit discouraged. When taking photos later, I also appeared gloomy. At this moment, my desk mate seemed to notice my little mood and leaned over to my ear, saying, "Your fruit platter is very creative, and I really like your arrangement." My desk mate's words swept away my previous unhappiness, and my mood immediately turned from a dark cloud to a clear one.
Class has started, and the teacher has arranged several tables in a row as a display stand, asking students to carefully place their own works on top. In order to facilitate everyone's voting, the teacher carefully numbered each work and then explained the voting rules to us. Each person has two votes, so let's seize this right and vote for the two most creative works. The students were very enthusiastic about voting. They first looked at all the works, then made up their minds, and finally cast their votes. During this period, we went up one after another to vote. I looked around and no one voted for my work, so I voted for the 7th and my work to give myself comfort. After the voting ended, the result didn't go as I expected, and my work only had my own vote. The most creative works were No. 7 and No. 13. No. 7 was chosen because of its outstanding appearance, while No. 13 was chosen because of its good popularity.
With the birth of the competition results, we entered the tasting stage, and the whole class was very excited. I have been eating my favorite orange next to the 15th work, and everyone else is also trying it out plate by plate, enjoying it with relish. I finished eating oranges and also went to taste several other fruits nearby, making my stomach plump.
This event is over. Although I didn't win the Best Creative Award, I was still very happy in the end because my fruit platter was empty, which shows that my work is still popular. Sharing my labor results with classmates is also a happy thing. This is really a special "Children's Day" event!
