我自幼在城市长大，虽然对“谁知盘中餐，粒粒皆辛苦”等古诗词倒背如流，但还是缺乏对粮食真正意义上的认识。直到前阵子去农村爷爷家，亲历了收割粮食的一幕，才使我有了体会。

那是收获的日子，我跟随着大人去收割小麦。因为老家是山区，靠天吃饭，雨水多收成就好。在田地里，让我真正感受到面朝黄土，背朝天的滋味。耕地在距离村庄很远的地方，一大早起来，就背上水和干粮出发。太阳没出来还好，当太阳当空照时，火辣辣的，长辈们跪在土地上收割小麦，满面汗水，满身黄土，但是，他们不会漏掉一颗麦子。我真正地理解了什么叫“汗滴禾下土”，我也知道了粮食对农民的重要性，也明白了为什么要“节约粮食、杜绝浪费”，亲身的体验给了我最好的教育。我曾亲眼看到爷爷将掉下的馍馍渣仔细捡起来，轻轻地把灰吹了吃掉，这就是农民，粮食就是命啊！

I once saw my grandfather carefully pick up the fallen bread crumbs and gently blow away the dust to eat them. This is the farmer, food is life!
自农村回来后，我在六中住校，每当我在食堂吃饭，看到有同学浪费粮食时，我就会告诉他我在农村的所见所闻。
