开学第一件事，是军训。
The first thing at school is military training.
孟子说：“天将降大任于斯人也，必先苦其心志，劳其筋骨，饿其体肤，空乏其身，所以动心忍性，增益其所不能。”他为我们清楚地阐明，强健的体魄和坚毅的品格是担当大任的先决条件，这是通往成功之路本应具备的素质。而军训正是提供了强身健体、磨炼意志的绝好机会，为我们以后的学习和生活打下良好的基础。它定将成为砥砺我们意志的第一块试金石！
Mencius said, "When heaven bestows great responsibilities upon a person, they must first sharpen their heart and mind, strain their muscles and bones, starve their body and skin, and leave them empty. Therefore, they must be patient and increase what they cannot." He clearly explained to us that a strong physique and resolute character are the prerequisites for undertaking great responsibilities, which are the qualities that should be possessed on the road to success. Military training provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen our bodies and exercise our willpower, laying a solid foundation for our future learning and life. It will surely become the first touchstone to temper our will!
我本以为军训应该是一件非常快乐的事情，站军姿而已，没什么大不了的。可没想到，军训第一天的感觉就完全不是那么回事。

太阳火辣辣的，我们的心好像也在燃烧一般！汗水顺着脸颊不断地往下流！如果静心聆听，就能清晰地听到汗水滴落的声音。教官好像故意和我们过不去似的，愈是烈日如火，教官练得愈是精神！而我们，简直快要受不了了！直到把我们练得腰酸腿痛，汗流如雨才罢休。随着一声盼望已久的“休息十分钟”的口令，我们终于可以喘口气了！
The sun is scorching hot, and it seems like our hearts are also burning! Sweat keeps flowing down my cheeks! If you listen attentively, you can hear the sound of sweat dripping clearly. The instructor seems to be deliberately trying to get through with us, the more scorching the sun is, the more energetic the instructor becomes! And we are almost unbearable! We didn't stop until it made us sore in the waist and legs, sweating profusely. With the long-awaited "ten minute break" command, we can finally catch our breath!
瘫坐在草坪上，头无力地靠着同学的后背，心中忙不迭地叫起苦来：原来当兵这么辛苦！此时此刻，我真的连动都不想动！

第二天总算把队列队形练完了。接下来，就是最让我们头痛的“站军姿”！站军姿说起来容易，做起来难呐！为了锻炼我们的意志，教官要求我们纹丝不动站5分钟。

Standing in a military posture is easy to say, but difficult to do! In order to exercise our willpower, the instructor asked us to stand still for 5 minutes.
时间一秒一秒过去，整齐的队伍中，只听见呼吸声，渐渐地，有的同学坚持不住了，只感觉汗水如同毛毛虫一般淘气，在你的脸上慢慢往下蠕动，痒痒的，但你又不敢去擦，心里那个难受呀！只有操场知道我们流了多少汗，只有路边的小草知道天气有多热，只有我们自己知道有多累。我也快要坚持不住了，就在心里默默地数数，这5分钟为什么就这么漫长呢？看着眼前的教官也和我们一样，我又有点愧疚了，心想：我连这点苦都受不了，还能实现自己的理想吗？于是我咬牙坚持住了。
Time passed by second by second, and in the neat queue, only breathing could be heard. Gradually, some students couldn't hold on anymore, feeling sweat crawling down your face like a caterpillar, itching, but you didn't dare to wipe it, feeling so uncomfortable in your heart! Only the playground knows how much sweat we have shed, only the grass on the roadside knows how hot the weather is, and only we ourselves know how tired we are. I can hardly hold on anymore, so I silently counted in my heart. Why are these 5 minutes so long? Looking at the instructor in front of me, who was just like us, I felt a little guilty again. I thought to myself: I can't even bear this hardship, can I still achieve my ideals? So I gritted my teeth and persisted.
为期四天的军训结束了，我们以优异的军训展示回报了关爱我们的教官。当汽车载着教官远去的时候，我们的眼里噙满了泪水，那是一种美好的回忆，那是一种深深的思念，那也是一种无限的期盼。我们不会辜负教官、老师对我们的谆谆教诲，美好的明天是属于我们的！
The four-day military training has ended, and we have rewarded our caring instructors with excellent military training demonstrations. When the car carried the instructor away, tears filled our eyes. It was a beautiful memory, a deep longing, and an infinite expectation. We will not let down the earnest teachings of our instructors and teachers. A better tomorrow belongs to us!
