小乌龟的壳是墨绿色的，上面印着棕褐色的条纹，有点像蛇皮。一双黑芝麻般大小的眼睛，总是东张西望的。小脑袋比花生米大不了多少，我用手指轻轻碰一下，立马缩进壳里。四条短短的腿，在鱼缸里缓慢地爬行，因为缸壁很滑，爬一步要滑三步，真好玩！

小乌龟吃什么呢？我赶紧上网查了查。原来瓜果、青菜、猪肉都可以。我跑到厨房找到一块肉片，把它放到小乌龟的面前。可是它缩着脑袋一动不动。难道它不饿？妈妈笑着说：“你把肉片切成肉丁，再试试。”这一次，小乌龟探出脑袋，脖子一伸，一块肉丁不见了。嘻嘻，它可真会享受，进食还要人伺候！不一会，几块肉丁都进了小乌龟的肚子。

I ran to the kitchen and found a piece of meat, placing it in front of the little turtle. But it shrank its head and remained motionless. Isn't it hungry? Mom smiled and said, "Cut the sliced meat into diced pieces and try again." This time, the little turtle poked its head out, stretched its neck, and a piece of diced meat was missing. Hehe, it really enjoys eating and needs someone to take care of it! In no time, several pieces of diced meat entered the little turtle's belly.
“小乌龟好可爱呀，就是壳太难看了。”看着慢慢爬动的小乌龟，我感叹道。妈妈笑着说：“不能只看外表哦，乌龟的壳可不简单。乌龟用壳储备营养，睡觉的时候把头、尾巴和腿缩进壳里，就不会冷了。没有壳，乌龟就死掉了。”原来，小乌龟的壳有这么重要的作用啊！
