Small raindrops fell onto the ground, like splashing small dimples and blooming flowers. The rainwater and its companions slowly gathered together, forming flowing streams. We joyfully stepped on the flowing stream and walked into the century old village of Li Zhai.
As soon as I walked into the ancient village, what caught my eye were ancient houses built brick by brick. The ancient courtyards, stone paved alleys, and green moss all collected the traces of time. As I walked closer, I saw tall lanterns in front of me. There were lifelike goldfish lanterns, mesmerizing lotus lanterns, and brightly colored qilin lanterns... Each one was different, making me dazzled. It was truly breathtaking.
The most interesting thing is making a lotus lantern by hand. I took a white petal made of rice paper, dipped it in the ancient red pigment with a brush, and slowly spread it on the paper. The paper instantly seemed to have been enchanted, turning into lifelike petals. Then, using these large and small petals, I pieced them together on a wooden platform, and a beautiful lotus lamp was made, as if wearing a fairy dress and dancing gracefully in my hand.
I like the Li Mansion in the ancient village, its long history, tranquility, and simplicity. I also like the lotus lanterns I made myself.
