Reading is a way to see the world and enrich oneself, a refuge in a disordered life; Reading has constructed my spiritual world and allowed me to see new possibilities.
I used to think that the world was only divided into black and white, people were only divided into good and evil, and weather was only divided into cold and warm. Then, I started reading and saw the beauty and diversity of the world. People are not only divided into good and bad, but also know that there are differences in spring, summer, autumn, and winter. As Niel Gaiman said, "In the process of reading, you will discover that the most important thing for your life's journey is that the world doesn't have to be like this, everything can be different
Reading allows me to rediscover the world.
I used to think that everyone's way of growing up was similar, and everyone's path was similar. However, when I opened the book, what appeared in front of me was not as boring and lifeless as I had imagined. Instead, there were countless different paths: some leading to the city, some leading to the countryside, some intersecting with rivers, and some reaching the sea... I understand in my heart that the path of life is not paved by others, and I have the right to choose one I like from the thousands of unique paths and embark on my own journey. As Yu Hua said, "Reading opens up our personal space and changes our life path from singular to plural
Reading has helped me see the path of life clearly.
I have found that reading seems to solve all my confusion. So I started seeking answers from reading. But I kept flipping through until the corners of the book were rolled up, only to find that some questions still couldn't be answered. I began to ponder what reading truly brought me, is it the answer? It seems that some questions can never be answered while reading books. I racked my brain to think, but couldn't come up with anything. At this point, I chose to clear my mind and look into the distance. Suddenly, I seemed to think of something, watching people in different costumes walking towards different intersections on the street. Reading may not bring answers, but thousands of possibilities; Reading is not just about flipping the pages of a book by hand. I read people's joys, sorrows, joys, and sorrows, read about wonderful nature, and read about every wonderful and unique life. Every time I read, there is an extra path and possibility in front of me. The things I saw clearly, called 'the path of life', now seem to be every possibility brought by reading.
Reading truly brings me millions of possibilities, which is the most accurate and beautiful gift that reading brings. In every disordered world, reading has become the foundation of my orderly life. If I hadn't read about all things in this world, my situation would have been worse. I would have gone with the flow, without my own thoughts, just a lifeless body, and the critical spirit that serves as the "engine of progress" would not have existed. Reading makes me disobedient, unyielding, and dissatisfied with the status quo. It makes me protest against the flaws in life.
Reading fills my empty body and constructs my spiritual world.
Reading books with elegance, reading the various forms of the human world. I saw the whole world, more possibilities, and my scattered soul in the human world. Whenever I read, I indulge in every word, every smile, and every glance, unwilling to leave. I trust, assimilate, resonate with what I read, and even bring it into my life.
For Borges, reading is an experience no less than traveling the world or falling in love, just like for me. Reading should not always be purposeful, but can be done anytime, anywhere, even in peaceful dreams, rather than stubbornly seeking answers.
The significance of reading to me is no longer about obtaining a reasonable answer. It is my best soulmate, allowing me to pluck the stars, catch the full moon, and find my true self.
I blew out the reading light and was covered in the moon. This is the beauty that reading has given me.
