登山途中，路遇一处险要地势，两侧崖壁如刀切一般，只留一条狭长的出口，犹如一道天然石门，有“一夫当关，万夫莫开”之势，这就是石门峡。当年秦王李世民屯兵于此地时，率兵从此狭长的险道出山，最终大破王世充。登顶远望，一座山峰，异峰突起，伟岸壮观，独具气压乾坤之势，就像威武的秦王李世民，这里就是大王峰，又名点赞峰。相传，唐武德年间，秦王李世民东征王世充，两军相持不下，后从军师徐茂公持久战之计，于高山之上建寨栅一处，长期屯兵，伺机破敌。此地本干旱缺水，秦王军驻扎后，竟有枯废井喷涌成泉，终日不息，废弃田地得以滋润，稼穗方始滋生，附近百姓蒙此福荫，纷纷传言秦王当得天下。秦王名日盛，四方响马纷纷奔投，方圆民众尽皆归附。不足五年，以至十万余众，因归顺者众多，故将眷属迁居寨下沟内，休养生息。武德四年，秦王佯称重病不治，诱敌攻寨，大破王世充军。至此，秦王军声威大振，逐渐向西推进。此山作为秦王豫西重要军事基地，为后世兵家所必争。

Later, following the strategy of military advisor Xu Maogong's protracted battle, he built a fortress on a high mountain and stationed troops for a long time, waiting for an opportunity to break through the enemy. This place was originally dry and lacking in water. After the Qin army was stationed, there were abandoned wells gushing out into springs that never stopped. Abandoned fields were nourished, and crops began to grow. Nearby people benefited from this blessing and spread rumors that the Qin king had become the ruler of the country. The name of the King of Qin was flourishing day by day, and horses from all directions rushed to join, and all the people around surrendered. In less than five years, to over 100000 people, due to the large number of surrenders, their families were relocated to the valley below the village to recuperate. In the fourth year of Wude, the King of Qin pretended to be seriously ill and died, luring the enemy to attack the fortress and greatly defeating Wang Shichong's army. At this point, the Qin king's army became more powerful and gradually advanced westward. This mountain, as an important military base for the Qin king in western Henan, was a must win for future military strategists.
