我的爷爷七十多岁了，但他的身体很好，非常能干。我们家的很多东西，都是爷爷自己做的。
My grandfather is over seventy years old, but he is in good health and very capable. Many things in our family were made by our grandfather himself.
去年，我们搬进了新房。新房宽敞明亮，但是没有烤火房。爷爷说：“我来建一个。”第二天，他就推起心爱的小推车，把老房子里的木门、砖头、旧瓦等一车一车地运过来，然后，又去镇上买来水泥、沙子等材料，一切准备就绪后，就开始施工了。
Last year, we moved into a new house. The new house is spacious and bright, but there is no fire room. Grandpa said, 'I'll build one.' The next day, he picked up his beloved cart and transported the wooden doors, bricks, old tiles, and other materials from the old house one by one. Then, he went to the town to buy cement, sand, and other materials. After everything was ready, he began construction.
爷爷先在一块正方形的空地上铺上水泥，然后用砖头和木门围成一个屋子，最后把灰色的旧瓦盖在顶上，一座崭新的烤火房就出来了。在房子里面，爷爷用砖头围成一个正方形，那就是火炉。再看看天花板上，一个电灯泡挂在上面，旁边连着一根长长的电线，直通开关。只要“啪”地一声打开开关，屋子里就变得亮堂了。冬天，天气变冷了，北风呼呼地吹着，我们一家人围坐在烤火房里。爷爷生起柴火，温暖布满整个屋子，我感觉暖和极了。
Grandpa first laid cement on a square open space, then surrounded it with bricks and wooden doors to form a house. Finally, he covered the roof with gray old tiles, and a brand new grill room came out. In the house, Grandpa surrounded a square with bricks, which is the stove. Looking at the ceiling again, there is a light bulb hanging on top with a long wire connected to it, which leads directly to the switch. As long as the switch is turned on with a 'pop', the room becomes bright. In winter, as the weather gets colder and the north wind howls, our family sits around the grill. Grandpa started the firewood, and warmth filled the whole room. I felt extremely warm.
在烤火房的旁边有一座小山坡，爷爷又把它开辟成一座小菜园。每天，爷爷在菜园里松土、拔草、施肥、浇水，忙得不亦乐乎。在他的精心打理下，菜长得可欢了。红彤彤的西红杮香甜可口，大个儿的萝卜白白胖胖，月牙形的荷兰豆挂满藤蔓，绿油油的辣椒又粗又壮。当然，还有我和堂妹最喜欢吃的生菜！整个菜地满满当当的，勾得我直流口水。
There is a small hill next to the grill, and Grandpa has turned it into a small vegetable garden. Every day, Grandpa is busy loosening the soil, weeding, fertilizing, and watering in the vegetable garden. Under his careful care, the dishes grew happily. The red and fragrant Western Red Gourd is delicious and sweet, the large radish is white and chubby, the crescent shaped Dutch beans are covered in vines, and the green chili peppers are thick and strong. Of course, there's also lettuce that my cousin and I love the most! The entire vegetable field is so full that it makes my mouth water.
每当邻居们看到烤火房和小菜园，就会夸爷爷能干。我为有一个这样的爷爷感到骄傲！
Whenever neighbors see the grill and small vegetable garden, they praise Grandpa for his ability. I am proud to have such a grandfather!
