The weather in April is gentle with spring breeze, birds chirping and flowers blooming. My parents took me to the long-awaited millennium porcelain capital - Jingdezhen. I heard from them that the porcelain culture here has been over 1600 years, and I really want to see this famous ancient capital.
As the car got off the highway, rows of porcelain wrapped street lamps caught my eye, like soldiers standing guard, welcoming me with their upright military posture.
The first stop for exploring the ancient capital is the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum, where you can see the towering chimney from afar. It is made of red bricks and has a long history. There are many repaired porcelain exhibited here. My mother told me, "This used to be a workshop dedicated to making imperial artifacts for the emperor. Due to the emperor's noble status, the most exquisite porcelain from the same batch would be selected and transported to the palace, while the rest would be destroyed to prevent them from becoming commonplace. With the changing times, these used kilns, production techniques, and technologies have been preserved and passed down from generation to generation
I applaud the wisdom of the people of Jingde Porcelain in Jiangxi.
