Remembering revolutionary martyrs, promoting revolutionary spirit, pursuing red memories, and inheriting the will of the martyrs. As the Qingming Festival approached, I participated with a heavy heart in the school organized activity of sweeping the graves of martyrs during the Qingming Festival.
After singing the national anthem and entering the park, rows of stone tablets came into view. Upon closer inspection of the inscriptions, each one recorded the name and deeds of a martyr. Some sacrificed their lives to protect their homeland, some were tortured to death by the enemy to ensure the completion of their mission, and some died in battle for the people and their country. The youngest among them was only fourteen years old. Every stroke and painting on the monument is inscribed with the radiance of a hero, and behind each stone tablet lies an ordinary yet great martyr. In the center of the cemetery, there is a huge stone monument engraved with the words' Heroes and Martyrs Forever Immortal '. He stands like a giant among the monuments, symbolizing many unnamed martyrs and a difficult but hopeful revolutionary era. The sound of the wind is like tears and complaints, telling the hardships of the revolution. I cannot help but admire the heroic deeds of the martyrs, who exchanged their youth for the strength of the mountains and rivers, and their blue blood will dye the sky and earth red.
My classmates and I presented chrysanthemums to the stone monument, bowed our heads in silence, and arrived at the exhibition hall. The display cabinets in the exhibition hall displayed the weapons and medals of the soldiers of the People's Liberation Army back then. Although the baptism of time has rusted the weapons, it cannot change their glorious history. Although the medals have faded somewhat, they still cannot change the honor they symbolize. Although the swords of the soldiers may not be as good as those of the Japanese soldiers, they still cannot change their determination to eliminate the enemy. Their will is like steel, which cannot be stopped by any difficulty. It is precisely this spirit that defeated the enemy with ulterior motives and created the current Greater China.
This event has made me understand a lot. The current China and our comfortable life cannot be separated from the hard work and struggle of the previous generation of revolutionary martyrs. It is their noble qualities of not being afraid of sacrifice and sacrificing their lives to face national difficulties, and seeing death as a sudden return. Their sacrifices cannot be let down. Now we should study hard, have a patriotic spirit from a young age, remember history, always remember the martyrs, inherit the revolutionary spirit, and promote the prestige of our country.
