I still remember when I stepped into a new campus, it was the golden autumn season. Now, as I enter the classroom of my third year of junior high school, it is also the season of clear autumn air. In these two years of junior high school life, I met the teacher Zhao who changed me.
Teacher Zhao was the first teacher who taught me Chinese when I was in junior high school, and also the homeroom teacher. I remember the first time I came to register, Teacher Zhao stood on the podium, explaining the registration process to the parents. She gave me the impression of being very busy. The second time I officially came to class, I saw her with a high tail and a pink floral dress, giving people a feeling of vitality, appearing both cute and youthful.
When I walked into the classroom, I said "hello teacher" and she turned to look at me and smiled at me. At that time, I thought she should be the most gentle and beautiful teacher in the world. When I was in elementary school, I hated memorizing Chinese because I thought those ancient poems were very difficult to remember. After entering junior high school, I hated Chinese even more. When I saw that long text with several paragraphs of classical Chinese and ancient poetry, it gave me a headache.
Although I hate memorizing, I really enjoy taking Chinese class because I find it very interesting. Reading every line of words fills my mind with images, so every Saturday when I finish my homework, I will read. In Chinese class, I actively answer questions following the rhythm of Teacher Zhao. Sometimes the teacher will explain some answering techniques, answering formats, and the content to be memorized. Of course, I will listen to these knowledge from the left ear to the right ear, and after class, I will not specifically memorize them.
In a Chinese exam, it was precisely because of my lack of memorization that I answered the questions irregularly and made all the mistakes in dictation. My grades were counted down, and that time I was scared. I didn't expect to do so poorly because I didn't memorize the exam. After class, Teacher Zhao also talked to me and said, 'I think you take Chinese class very seriously and answer questions very actively, but why did you do so well in the exam?' I explained the situation to her, and she also enlightened me and taught me how to memorize.
Under the guidance of Teacher Zhao, my studies gradually got on track and my grades improved a lot. Teacher Zhao also used me as an example to tell my classmates that hard work will be rewarded.
I remember one time when I overslept and woke up, I hurriedly put on my clothes, brought my backpack, rode my bike, and rushed to school. However, I was still late. When I arrived, the morning class had already started for more than 20 minutes, and I was a little scared. I went to the classroom to prepare for the baptism of the storm, because in elementary school, the teacher would beat the late person to a board and punish them to sweep the floor. Teacher Zhao was sitting on the podium, looking at my empty table and looking out the door. She saw me walking towards the classroom, and she called me to the podium. I thought I would be criticized, but she gently said to me, "Did you oversleep? Haven't you had breakfast yet?" She said, "Let's go. Take out a bottle of milk and a piece of bread from the bag and place them in my hand. I quickly said, 'Teacher, this is your breakfast, I can't take it.' But she said to me, 'Take it, skipping breakfast will affect my morning studies. I can buy another one.' I had to take it away and thank the teacher.
The meeting with Teacher Zhao was during the fragrance of osmanthus flowers, in this season of harvest. Thank you for your guidance.
