上一周，学校参加区运动会。作为七里河中学首届学生，我们都想为校出征。课后我与同伴一起向老师询问比赛项目，可老师的回答并不能令我满意——铅球。回想过去，老师说要扔铅球我就躲得远远的，生怕有个闪失，铅球没扔出去，反倒砸到自己。

After class, I asked the teacher about the competition project with my peers, but the teacher's answer did not satisfy me - shot put. Looking back on the past, when my teacher said I wanted to throw a shot put, I hid far away, afraid of making a mistake. Instead of throwing the shot put, I hit myself.
回到教室，我埋怨自己为何不长高些，长结实些。正在我感慨万千，认为这次运动会将与我无缘之时，老师再次走进教室，随口说道：“这次运动会开幕式还需要6名同学参加，有意向的到我这里报名。”老师的话犹如一缕阳光照进我的内心，我想都没想就报了名。

很快名单确定下来，老师公布了这次开幕式表演项目——舞蹈。得知这一消息，我纠结不已：“去，还是不去？去吧，反正不止我一个人，权当一次尝试。还是不去吧，万一我跳得不好，丢人现眼，多难堪。”但后来，我还是选择了前者，因为我不想错过这次难得的机会。
The list was quickly confirmed, and the teacher announced the performance project for this opening ceremony - dance. Upon hearing this news, I was deeply conflicted: "Should I go or not? Go, anyway, it's not just me, let's just give it a try. It's better not to go, in case I don't dance well and embarrass myself, it's really difficult." But later on, I still chose the former because I didn't want to miss this rare opportunity.
接下来，我们投入到紧锣密鼓的排练当中，一切都按部就班。直到开幕式前一天，新的问题却再次光顾：每当台下有人盯着我们，我的心里就如一面鼓嘭嘭乱响，脸也不自觉的发烫。尤其是跳的时候，动作变得十分僵硬，甚至还会忘记。老师也无可奈何，只能让我自己调整。回到家里，我竟然有些不知所措：“这样下去，可怎么办？难道所有的努力就要功亏一篑吗？”
Next, we immerse ourselves in intense rehearsals, everything proceeding as planned. Until the day before the opening ceremony, a new problem reappeared: every time someone in the audience stared at us, my heart would beat like a drum, and my face would involuntarily heat up. Especially when jumping, the movements become very stiff and even forgotten. The teacher had no choice but to let me adjust myself. When I got home, I was a bit at a loss: "If this continues, what should I do? Are all my efforts going to be in vain
不知为何今天的时间过得真快，不一会就到了上床睡觉的点，我心不甘情不愿地躺在床上。我想起了往事，小时候我幻想拥有一个许愿池，这样就可以拥有一切想要的东西。然随着年龄的增长，我知道那是不可能的，世界上没有一劳永逸的东西。我想起老师曾经说过的一句话：相信自己，就一定可以！一早醒来，我又重新回顾整套动作，并跟着音乐反复练习。
I don't know why time passed so quickly today, but soon it was time to go to bed. I reluctantly lay down on the bed. I remember the past. When I was a child, I fantasized about having a wishing pool so that I could have everything I wanted. But as I grew older, I knew that it was impossible, there is no one size fits all solution in the world. I remember a saying my teacher once said: believe in yourself, and you will definitely succeed! Waking up early in the morning, I reviewed the entire set of movements again and practiced repeatedly with the music.
终于到了开幕式这一天，我们抵达现场节目还未开始。很快就轮到我们，动感的旋律和整齐划一的动作引来现场一阵阵热烈的欢呼声。当众人的目光聚焦在我们身上时，所有的努力都化作一道金光环绕在我们身旁。我明白了并更加坚定那句话：相信自己，就一定可以！
Finally, on the day of the opening ceremony, we arrived at the venue and the program had not yet begun. Soon it was our turn, and the dynamic melody and neat movements drew waves of enthusiastic cheers from the scene. When everyone's gaze is focused on us, all our efforts turn into a golden light surrounding us. I understand and am even more determined by the saying: believe in yourself, and you will definitely succeed!
秋日的微风拂过脸颊，我猛然间发现，从报名那一刻起，我就克服了重重阻挠，一路穿行，最终让梦想变成了现实，让最好的自己展现在众人面前。
The autumn breeze brushed against my cheek, and I suddenly realized that from the moment I registered, I had overcome numerous obstacles, traveled all the way, and finally turned my dreams into reality, presenting my best self in front of everyone.
