寒假里，我们一家人去了北京游玩，一路上别提有多高兴了。我们参观了很多著名的景点，有金碧辉煌的故宫，被称为皇家园林的颐和园，让人黯然神伤的圆明园，气势雄伟的长城，夜景五彩斑斓的水立方和鸟巢，北京最大的图书馆北京图书大厦，还到清华、北大门口转了一圈。每天的旅程让人既激动又疲惫。在这么多的景点中，长城和圆明园给我的印象特别深刻。

We visited many famous attractions, including the magnificent Forbidden City, the Summer Palace known as the Royal Garden, the melancholic Yuanmingyuan, the majestic Great Wall, the colorful Water Cube and Bird's Nest at night, the largest library in Beijing, the Beijing Book Building, and even took a stroll around Qinghua and Beida Gate. The daily journey is both exciting and exhausting. Among so many scenic spots, the Great Wall and Yuanmingyuan left a particularly deep impression on me.
长城是中华民族的象征，全长一万两千多里，是世界上最伟大的建筑之一。我们游览的是八达岭长城，当我们乘坐的游览车走到居庸关时，就已经看到了威武雄壮的长城。它像一条长龙，在山间盘旋。长城上每隔一段距离就有一个烽火台，它们像一个个战士保护着长城。看到这里时，我便迫不及待地想登上八达岭长城。客车行驶了二十分钟左右，我们终于到达目的地，我的心里燃烧着激动的火花。一开始长城就向我们发起了重大的挑战，一个又一个陡坡，让我感到害怕。我想到毛主席说过的话“不到长城非好汉”，于是重鼓勇气往上爬。就这样，我带着必胜的信心，来到了长城脚下。

There are beacon towers at regular intervals on the Great Wall, which protect it like soldiers. When I saw this, I couldn't wait to climb the Badaling Great Wall. The bus drove for about twenty minutes, and we finally arrived at our destination. Exciting sparks were burning in my heart. At the beginning, the Great Wall posed significant challenges to us, one steep slope after another, which scared me. I think of what Chairman Mao said; Not a hero without reaching the Great Wall; So he mustered up the courage to climb up. So, with the confidence of victory, I arrived at the foot of the Great Wall.
我拽着扶手，登着阶梯，一步一步艰难地爬。爬了许久，终于过了陡坡，到了平缓的地带。我慢慢地向前走，不知不觉已经到了最高峰——北八楼（俗称“好汉坡”）。我知道毛主席当年就是站在这里说的“不到长城非好汉”。我站在此地俯视四周，长城周围的美景尽收眼底。我激动的心情无法用言语表达。偷偷告诉大家，我还免费领了一张“好汉证书”呢！
