I picked up a tall chair and placed it steadily by the balcony window. I carefully stepped on it and leaned against the window, all for one purpose: to admire the strong grass under the windowsill.
这株小草已经引起了我的注意，我对它充满了好奇。我家住在二楼，阳台外面有一个小露台，是安装空调外机的地方。由于安装了防盗装置，一般人过不去。不知道什么时候开始，这个光滑平坦的水泥露台上竟然长出了一株坚挺茁壮的小草。我很好奇它是如何在没有土壤的情况下生长的，带着疑问，我经常趴在窗台上观察这株小草。
This small grass has caught my attention and I am full of curiosity about it. My home lives on the second floor, and there is a small terrace outside the balcony where the air conditioning unit is installed. Due to the installation of anti-theft devices, most people cannot pass through. I don't know when it started, but on this smooth and flat cement terrace, a strong and robust grass grew. I am curious about how it grows without soil, and with questions in mind, I often lie on the windowsill to observe this small grass.
小草并没有什么特殊之处，在小河边的田埂上，我经常看到它的身影。它长着绿油油的叶子，并不因为在水泥地上生长而显得不健康。叶子形状像一把锋利的尖刀，茎的颜色比叶子更深。仔细观察，它比其他位置发现的小草更加粗壮，可能是为了适应露台上恶劣的生存环境才有了现在的外观。小草的根系很发达，密密麻麻地附着在露台的水泥地上，被固定住空气中掉落的灰尘。经过长时间的积累，在根系区域形成了一层薄薄的“土壤”。这片“土层”主要依靠空调外机流出的过滤水存活着。
There is nothing special about the grass. I often see its figure on the field embankment by the small river. It has green leaves and does not appear unhealthy just because it grows on cement ground. The leaves are shaped like sharp knives, and the stem is darker in color than the leaves. Upon careful observation, it appears to be thicker than the small grasses found in other locations, possibly due to its adaptation to the harsh living environment on the terrace that gave it its current appearance. The root system of the small grass is well-developed, densely attached to the concrete floor of the terrace, and fixed to the dust that falls from the air. After a long period of accumulation, a thin layer of "soil" has formed in the root zone. This' soil layer 'mainly relies on the filtered water flowing out of the air conditioning unit to survive.
