April is a good season for spring outings and also the most lush season for plant growth. Facing the morning breeze and breathing fresh air, I slowly stepped into the gate of Qishan with my bag on my back.
Walking on the wide stone steps, basking in the warm spring breeze, the big trees on both sides of the road have grown lush with branches and leaves. The layers of leaves cover up the sunlight, and occasionally a gust of wind brushes by, making a rustling sound. It reminds people of Ai Qing's "Green": "Suddenly, a gust of wind, as if a dance coach is directing, all the green dances together neatly according to the rhythm..." I am immersed in this poetic and picturesque meaning.
Arriving at Yuefei Square, the tall Yuefei stone statue came into view. I saw Yue Fei holding a precious sword and looking into the distance, as if he had something on his mind to confide in. The warhorse stopped beside Yue Fei, seemingly neighing in the sky. The sign next to it says that this statue is 3 meters high. 8 meters, symbolizing Yue Fei was killed at the age of 38. The four big characters "Return My River and Mountain" on the stone pedestal below make people deeply feel Yue Fei's hatred towards the invaders. The long corridor next to it displays calligraphy works by Yue Fei, and every tourist is amazed by his patriotic spirit.
Step out of Yuefei Square and climb up to Cuiwei Pavilion. Cuiwei Pavilion is an ancient and charming pavilion. Due to its long history, the ancient pavilion has become dilapidated, and it was later rebuilt to become what we see today. Sitting on the Cuiwei Pavilion, the entire city of Chizhou can be seen in full view: high-rise buildings are sprouting up like mushrooms after rain, and the roads are bustling with cars and water... Which place cannot reflect the prosperity of Chizhou? As night fell, a circle of spotlights on the trees below Cuiwei Pavilion shone towards it, and dozens of green lights turned Cuiwei Pavilion into a fairyland on earth.
Spring outing to Qishan is indeed a pleasant thing!
