During the summer vacation, I read the book 'Carp Jumping Over the Dragon Gate', which made me understand the truth that as long as I believe in myself, anything can be done.
This story is about a beautiful village with a small river and a group of cute little carp. One day they tried to jump on a small bridge, and their grandmother noticed it. She told them that jumping on a small bridge was dangerous and easy to get injured, and also told the little carp the story of their ancestors jumping over the Dragon Gate. If they jumped over the Dragon Gate, they would become dragons. So the little carp made an appointment to jump over the Dragon Gate together. They swam and swam, but got entangled in water plants during the process. At this moment, they met a big crab. The big crab listened to the little carp's idea and quickly helped them cut off the water plants blocking their way. In this way, the little carp finally arrived at the Dragon Gate Reservoir after going through a thousand hardships. They tried many times but failed to jump over the dragon gate. So they came up with a method, one jumping first and the other jumping up from below to lift up the carp on top, so they could jump over. In this way, the two carp successfully jumped over the dragon gate and turned into dragons, but what if the last carp had no help from other fish? It tried several times without success, but it didn't give up. Encouraged by two dragons, it finally jumped over the dragon gate and turned into a big golden dragon.
After reading this story, I silently told myself, "I also want to be as brave as the little carp. Whether in life or study, we must help each other and persevere. We must have the spirit of the little carp jumping over the dragon gate, and we will definitely succeed
