从前有一个猎人，名叫海力布。他总是热心帮助别人，大家都很尊敬他。

有一天，海力布去深山打猎时，救下了一条小白蛇。这条小白蛇是龙王的女儿，为了报答救命之恩，要送给他许多珍宝，并且告诉他，龙王有一颗含在嘴里就能听懂各种动物说话的宝石，但是如果把动物说的话对别人说了，那个人就会变成一块石头。
One day, when Hai Libu went hunting in the deep mountains, he saved a small white snake. This little white snake is the daughter of the Dragon King. In order to repay the life-saving kindness, she wants to give him many treasures and tell him that the Dragon King has a gem in his mouth that can understand the words of various animals. However, if he speaks the words of an animal to someone else, that person will turn into a stone head.
海力布来到了龙宫，拒绝了龙王送给他的其他珍宝，只要了那块宝石。从此以后，海力布能听懂所有动物的语言，打猎就方便多了，分给大家的猎物也更多了。
Hailibu arrived at the Dragon Palace and refused the other treasures given to him by the Dragon King, only the gemstone. From then on, Hailibu was able to understand the language of all animals, making hunting much more convenient and distributing more prey to everyone.
几年后的一天，海力布打猎时听到鸟儿说，今晚这里的大山要崩塌，大地要被洪水淹没，所以要赶紧飞走了。他急忙跑回村庄催促大家赶快搬家。可是大家不明白为什么要搬家，都不肯搬走。海力布知道如果不把原因说清楚，大家是不会相信的，要救乡亲们只有牺牲自己。于是，他把事情的经过原原本本的告诉了大家。刚说完，他就变成了一块石头。
One day a few years later, while hunting, Hailibu heard a bird say that the mountains here were going to collapse tonight and the earth would be flooded, so he had to fly away quickly. He hurriedly ran back to the village to urge everyone to move quickly. But everyone doesn't understand why they want to move, and they refuse to move. Hailibu knew that if he didn't explain the reason clearly, everyone wouldn't believe him. To save his fellow villagers, he had to sacrifice himself. So he told everyone the whole story in its entirety. As soon as he finished speaking, he turned into a stone.
大家看到海力布变成了石头，都非常后悔，非常悲痛。他们含泪向很远的地方走去。半夜里，果然大山崩塌了，洪水淹没了村庄。
Everyone regretted and mourned when they saw Hailibu turn into stone. They walked towards a faraway place with tears in their eyes. In the middle of the night, indeed, the mountain collapsed and the flood submerged the village.
人们世世代代纪念海力布，据说现在还能找到那块叫“海力布”的石头呢！
