My favourite season is spring. Everything is very lively in the spring. Theflowers are blooming, the trees are growing and the grass is turning green. Ilike lying on the grass and enjoy the sun shine in the park in the spring. Wealso can fly a kite, have a picnic, go on a trip or climb the mountain, but Idon‘t like to do those things, because they will make me feel tired. Some peoplelike to go to the countryside, however I don‘t think it is a good place to gofor a rest. I don‘t like the other season, because they are not very warm:summer is too hot, winter is too cold. While autumn is cool, it isn‘t verybeautiful. Last year, I went to the Slender West Lake in Yang Zhou. First wetook a boat to travel down the lake, we saw the Qiong flowers on the bank, andthey were very beautiful. Then we visited the Five Kiosks Bridge, there werefive kiosks on the bridge, and every kiosk has a long history. We sit in thekiosk and took some photos. Last we went to the Fishing Platform. Why do peoplecall it ?Fishing Platform‘? Because the emperor called ?Qian Long‘ in QingDynasty visited it. We also fished in it. We had a good time in Yang Zhou.Anyway, my favourite season is spring作文网 zUOwEnBa.Net

Ladies and gentlemen, your honored judges

When you're leaving the hotel will you look into a mirror and adjust yourclothes in front of it. But if it were a black mirror what could we get? Withtechnology developing at a rocket speed, the black mirror is everywhere, on thescreens of our cellphones, our computers and our televisions. In our daily life,we are always facing black mirrors. However, we can hardly see ourselves in it.Perhaps sometimes we can, but only as a colourless face. Technology has broughtgreat convenience of communication for information but at the same time, it haswebbed our thought.

Several years ago, an article named “Is Google making us stupid” got quitepopular on the Internet. At that time, I thought it was just alarmism but now Ifind it much worse because technology is not just making us stupid but alsoweakening our independent thought. About half year ago, I was invited to judge adebate competition. When I arrived at the competition room, I noticed it was anold and classic topic, so I was expecting those players to give me some new andspecial ideas. Unfortunately, when the game continued, I found all theviewpoints and examples they used were totally the same as the previouscompetition. The only fun during the competition was to predict what they wouldsay. As far as I was concerned, they were not making a debate but replaying avideo. Obviously, they just spoke for the black mirror.

Debate was born as an area that we use our own thought to defend ouropinion. However due to high technology, all these "My opinion is" in thecompetition are actually "The opinion I have found is". That is , really, atragedy because all human dignity lies in thought which has been weakened byconvenient technology.

Truth to be told, debate is not the only example. In every field, we canget whatever information or opinions we want from the almighty black mirror. Asa consequence, how to restructure human thought has become not only importantbut also necessary in today's technologically advanced world. And the answer ishumanism which stands for human independent special mind. Just as humanism freedpeople's thought from the force of religion in the Renaissance, I'm waiting inthe hope that it can rescue the ideology trapped in high technology. Humanism isa Lodestar guiding us to the era that anyone can form their own opinion aboutanything but not just speak the words from the Internet.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm not an anti-technologist but I do care aboutthose disadvantages that technology brings to our present life. With the laundrymachine, we don't know how to hand wash clothes clean. With electronic addressbooks, we can even hardly remember our girlfriends or boyfriends' phone numbers. And now with a convenient way to get opinion, we seldom think with our own mind.If so, human is only a reed, the feeblest thing in nature. So follow the spiritof humanism, have an independent mind, so that we can be colorful in those blackmirrors.

I think the cause is more complicated. I think, as a society, we put morepressure on our boys to succeedthan we do on our girls. I know men that stayhome and work in the home to support wives with careers, and it's hard. When I goto the Mommy-and-Me stuff and I see the father there, I notice that the othermommies don't play with him. And that's a problem, because we have to make it asimportant a job, because it's the hardest job in the world to work inside thehome, for people of both genders, if we're going to even things out and letwomen stay in the workforce. Studies show that households with equal earning andequal responsibility also have half the divorce rate. And if that wasn't goodenough motivation for everyone out there, they also have more — how shall I saythis on this stage?

Have you ever bought any food on the train? And do you ask for the receiptafter buying it? Nowadays, all trains in China provide its passengers withreceipts for commodities, but 7 years ago, things were quite different.

On 13th of October, 20__, the train T109 from Beijing to Shanghai wasspeeding on the railway. A graduate student bought a sausage at 1 yuan on thetrain, then asked for a receipt.

“Are you kidding? It’s just one yuan!” The crew member was surprised.

The student, however, answered in a determined voice, “I paid the money, soI deserve the receipt.”

“But we never give receipts on the train.’ As a result, his further requestwas turned down by a cold shoulder.

Several days later, the student sued the National Railway Ministry, for notproviding receipts for passengers.

To his dismay, the court turned down the case for lack of evidence. But he,who majored in law at that time, believed law as a most powerful weapon, so hedid not give up. Instead, he began his journey of collecting first-hand evidenceby taking trains and buying commodities aboard. When his classmates were playingsoccer, he was taking the train; When his classmates were buying food atMcdonald’s, he was buying food on the train; When his classmates were askinggirls out, he was asking for the receipts. As he joked, ‘I was either taking thetrain or on the way to take the train.’

One month later, he appeared in the court again, with newly-collectedevidence and a stronger confidence. And I guess, ladies and gentlemen, you willall cheer for the result because this time, the student won the case. Very soon,a regulation about receipts on the train came out. And whatever we buy on thetrain now, there’s a receipt for us.

Outside the court, the student was asked, “How do you make it to the end?”He said, “As a law student, I root my faith in law. I believe that law is there,to protect every person with no exception, and to ensure every person has asay.”

His words spread a strong faith in law, which is not only a doctrine of alaw student, but also a belief that all citizens ought to hold. It is this faiththat initiates the student to resort to law for a tiny issue; it is this faiththat supports him to endure all the exhausting trips when collecting evidence; It is this faith that makes a seemingly “ridiculous” receipt request legal andrightful. It is this faith that helps to change our life, enhance our judicialsystem and bring social justice.

To many, a receipt of 1 yuan is too small to mention, however rights are tobe respected and law is to be believed in. It all starts with a tiny receipt of1 yuan, but we get a monumental case, a new regulation and a bumper harvest insocial justice. The bridge that leads a tiny start to a bumper harvest is faith, the faith in law, rightful and strong.

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen,

Want to know how to feel bad about yourself? These tips are 100% effectiveand are guaranteed to make you feel really, really bad about yourself!

No.1 Compare yourself to everyone and everything around. Pick out thingsthey have that you don't;think how “lucky” they are and how “unlucky” youare.

No.2 Tell yourself over and over again things like “I am horrible”, “I amugly”, “I am disgusting”, or “I am useless.”

Sometimes, without even really knowing it, we can actively choose to bemiserable! In reality, it is more likely that you would like to invite feelingsof low self-esteem into your life. Low self-esteem has been attributed as beinga major obstacle to success. A recent survey conducted by the China PopulationCommunication Centershowed that nearly half of the interviewed studentssaid thatthey lacked a sense of security in social interactionsand suffered from lowself-esteem. Young people are the back bone to the nation. Their actions andattitudes are like a barometer of the health of a society. If our youth arecourageous and have faith in themselves, they can contribute to the developmentof our nation and our society will be in good health. On the contrary, if theysuffer from low self-esteem, our society will get sick.

I would like to share with you a true story about Nicholas James Vujicic. He was born with Tetra-amelia, a rare disorder characterized by the absence ofall four limbs. He struggled as a child, eventually came to terms with hisdisability and started his own non-profit organization Life Without Limbs – atage seventeen. He is widely known as a motivational speaker, giving talksworldwide on life with a disability, hope, and finding meaning in life.

He was bullied at school, Vujicic grew depressed and by the age of 8,contemplated suicide. At age 10, he tried to drown himself in 4 inches of water, but did not go through with it out of love for his parents. After praying togrow arms and legs, Vujicic eventually realized that his accomplishments couldinspire others – and became grateful for his life. A key turning point came whenhis mother showed him a newspaper article about a man dealing with a severedisability. Vujicic realized he wasn't unique in his struggles and began toembrace and transcend his disability.

This man, the soldier of life, came to my hometown 2 months ago. I got tolisten to him, and talk to him, face to face. I could never forget the look inhis face when he said “when I was young, I always feel cold, and dark. My firstdream was to grow arms and legs, but there is no future for me at all. ” Andnow, 28 years has passed since he was born, 28 years without arms and legs.Nick’s first dream didn't come true, but he didn't lose his faith of himself, and the faith of this life.

Nick is living a life without limbs, and also a life without limits.Compare to him, young people, there is no excuses to lose our faith in ourselvesand this world. I understand that life couldn't be anything we want it to be,and life couldn't bring us everything we long for, sometimes, life even takesaway our cherished ones. However, we are young; we are the hope of the wholeworld. Faith is right there within our reach.

Never lose faith, let us make to our life, to our future a dearpromise.

everyone has their own stories in life.some are joyful, some are bitter evena little embarrassment across in. every story in the movie seems to be soexciting, wondful and beautiful, but our real life likely to cantrary to the falsestories.

it is one of my stories between my friend with me,though the abscense oflots of the episodes that should happen in the false stories,i still hardlyforget it and him.my old friend where are you?whether you are waiting for me toscramble over the wall,or brag with each other again. at least,i alwaysmemorised what we both used to do ever, and the motto just for you and me.

"hi,hao wen,how do you think about the school rule?" i asked

"whatever,i do it in my style",he said maturely

"oh? do something different! so can you tell me what's your plan?" i askedcuriously

"it is just a very easy action but doesn't sound easy. we school break, doyou follow me?" he smiled at me

"yes, that 's it." he grined at me

"it's impossible, i've never done that ever." i said disoppointed

"hi!be confident.can't you see the brand of your t-shirts you wore? wa,a...oh! you are so rich, the brand of xtep is under the brand of metersbone, you are wearing in brand." he said so exciting

"so what?" i asked

"what you are scared of now? nothing is impossible, i walk in my style asif the sense of flying."

he encouraged me

"what a nice saying, you are so literate, but that doesn't make sense at all"i said

"don't worry about it,believe in yourself. you try your best to do it andwill done it perfectly. give yourself a chance.ok! i lead the way." he said

"uh....wai...t,damn!" i murmured

"congratulations! you've done well." he said

"i promise that's my first time also is my last time." i said

"a haha hah! it's just a beginning. you are a talent and courageous warriori've never seen before.by the way, beautiful girls are waiting for us." hegrined

a girl with a head of light black hairs that covered a watery almond eyewore in pink. her lips seemed to be so sweet, and that looked so irresistable.hi,hi...hao wen look this one. this sexy, beautiful and luscious girl who isexactly the kind of girls i fascinated in. oh,my god! the kind of cure girls arehere, too. jesus forgive me,please! but why didn't you tell me they were justliving the small square boxes." i asked

"really?" i asked him happily

"no,i am kidding you." he laughed

then we both laughed from face to face. it was somhow like if the westernjokes that are very easy but funny and interesting. we both enjoyed it much atthe age of 15 years old.

running, running,be quick,or we will be late. i don't want to stand outsideof the class though the whole period. come on,come to catch up me. the last onewill get the "nice" title of turtle king. of course, the champion will be therunning elite. i am sure that i will be the first one the destination. yes,o,ye!he was always very confident about anything, he never thought he will get lost.that was one of his traits i was really envious of him.

the things that in the reality are not always go straight like as thethings in the movie. i got cramp and callapsed. "are you ok?" he asked

"you'd better to go now,it takes much time to recover from cramp." isaid

"that's ok,i wait for you." he replied

"what a stupid idiot you are, you are getting late. come on, just leave mealone and go please." i said desperately

now listen to me,we had defeated the enemies who are ten times as more us,and escaped from many plights.

although these things all happend in computer games, one thing will not bechanged forever, you are my best comrade. before it was,now it is, future it willbe. so i can't leave you here.now give me your hands. thereafter,he took me tothe calss on his back in time.

four years later, when my back from the hell to home,i was trying tocontact to him,but my other friends told me "he had gone". they said that oneday, he didn't come to school then they never saw him again.

they had tried to connect to him before, but he changed his telephone numberand moved. i was shocked by the news. i was going to retaste the feeling ofscrambling with him, even i didn't mind if thos who see us scrambling what theylook us as.

Honorable judges, ladies and gentleman, good morning.

I want you to tell me something. What’s the first thing that pops into yourmind when you hear the word faith, a sacred and heart-warming word that’ssupposed to remind you of all the beauties and goodness of life, the key thatused to keep us going when confronted with all sorts of hardships and obstacles. However, when I hear the word faith, the thing it reminds me of is so remote andintangible. In this rich and peaceful era, there aren’t as many disasters orwars, especially for us young people whose lives are much easier and wealthierthan our fathers’. So is faith gradually losing its significance in the humanworld nowadays?

Like many of others, I used to think of faith as of no importance at all,and I deemed myself as a faithless person. I thought I can live my lifeperfectly fine without intentionally grasping something as my faith. Until oneday I met an American Christian named John, who later became a very good friendof mine. John is an extremely faithful Christian, and he thinks of Jesus Christas his lord. He, as a pastor, tried to convert me into a Christian when we firstmet. So he lectured me with his extensive knowledge of history and philosophyevery time we hung out. In spite of his amazingly detailed desc ription of thehistory of Jesus, what really got me intrigued is not the story he told, instead, is John himself as probably the first and most faithful person I’ve metin my entire life. I can feel the sparks in his eyes when he talks aboutbiblical things, and I am so touched by the integrity of him when he says:”Jesus Christ is the ultimate pursuit of my life” without any hesitation ordoubt.

The more we got along, the more I became jealous of him, because he alwaysseems to be joyful and optimistic. When I ask him how he manages it, he said:”I’ve had bad days too, but I also know that God is with me. So I know that it’llall be okay.” Suddenly it occurred to me how lucky it is to have something youcan completely put your trust into, something that will bring you strength whenyour mind is weak, something that reminds you “ it’s not so bad” when you’refilled with sorrow, something that gives your existence significance and bringit up to a higher level. So I was literally converted, not into a Christian, notinto someone faithful either, but into someone who wants to be as faithful atleast.

That was the first time I am exposed to the power of faith. To put itsimple, your life is complete only if you have faith. You must find somethingimportant and significant in your life, your purpose, your pursuit, whatever youcall it. I’m not saying faith must relate to religion or God. It could beanything. It could be your career goal, your children, your lover, fellowship,or a certain kind of life style, anything, as long as you dare to trust yourlife in it with your heart of hearts.

Now I’m still faithless. I haven’t become a Christian or find what mattersto me most yet. But what John gave me is whole new perspective to see life. SoI’ll strive to really feel and touch the beauty in life and won’t take it forgranted. And that’s also what I encourage all of us to do. Keep looking for thefaith of your own, and when you do, you’ll know it’s all worth it.
